Beginning in September, this site will be home to The Rover, an on-line arts magazine based in Montreal. Our icon is the shadow of a curious pup, symbolizing the quest to hunt out the best in music, stage, visual art and literature as well as many innovations and fusions of standard genres that make cultural life so vital in the 21st century.

City-specific yet cosmopolitan in spirit, The Rover is dedicated to the same principles that make the 100 Mile Diet a viable ideal. Call it a virtual niche. Some of the finest artists of our time live in Montreal and many others come here every year. The Rover will offer news and informed reviews from a dedicated team of writers.

Writing with bite that lets you bite back. Opinions and observations by readers will be posted on the site. That's our core activity, offered free on-line each day.

The Rover will also play a role in forging community. By way of a small monthly subscription fee, readers can join the Rover Membership - a social club and on-line network offering access to group rates, generous discounts and gifts from some of the city's top cultural venues. Each season, Members can chose from a fresh panier of goodies available exclusively through The Rover.
