Rover’s ’09 Fall Season is set to go: down from heaven, a new play from Imago Theatre, Sweet Mother Logic’s CD launch at Sala Rossa and an art fest at Galerie Push.
These events and others to be added are part of the membership package available free to our contributors, and for $30 ($40 double) to supporters of this website. Membership offers you significant discounts on selected cultural events and invitations to festive occasions.
Details to be announced at our season launch on Saturday, September 12. A private party open to members and contributors, to be held at 5300 Waverly St., just north of Fairmount, from 8 p.m.
The Rover “season” is in fact a collaboration. Montreal artists join forces with Rover to present their talents.
down from heaven – New Brunswick/Toronto playwright Colleen Wagner has written a biting social satire about a pandemic. Meet the wealthy Braumbachs, quarantined in the basement of their luxurious home, dependent upon their former gardener. Directed by Alain Goulem, with Chip Chuipka, Bruce Dinsmore and Leni Parker. At the Monument National. Rover Members save 35%, pay only $17 on Rover Night, September 30.
Sweet Mother Logic – the 300-some people who attended our launch party last November will remember this amazing classical pop rock band. Watch where they’ve come since that great event, at the launch of their new CD. Sala Rossa, October 15 from 8 p.m. Rover Members pay only $5. (Regular door tickets are $12).
Galerie Push – A special art event at this bold new art gallery on St. Laurent Blvd. Don’t fret about holiday gift-giving. Treat your friends and yourself to some great original art at affordable prices. November 22. Details forthcoming.
